Hello, my name is Lori Sheffer, IAMShamanicMedium. My spiritual path began early on in my youth. Growing up I struggled to find my own identity and fit into a world that often made no sense.  I had died and came back; a little girl who always had friends no one else could see. Often adrift amidst the chaos and dysfunction, it was easier to talk to beings no one else could see and “dream” of worlds that were all my own. As I grew, the beliefs of others were instilled within me, and I began to lose touch with this inner knowing that brought so much comfort. Years passed as my story continued to unfold, however, I always felt as though a piece of me was missing.

Now the story of my youth is an open book that I visit from time to time.  Since then, there have been many more volumes. Each one shows parts of the path I have taken to confront my shadows, heal my soul and live authentically. Along the way, my angels have guided me.  When I did not heed them, my life would be upended until I changed what was no longer working. In 2010, I was led to a Shamanic Practitioner who taught me about Andean Shamanism.  Soon after, all those invisible friends I talked to so easily as a child showed up again. 
 

In reality, they were always there, I just had forgotten how to hear them! The deeper I connected with the Divine, the more I found Shamanism and Mediumship were intertwined.  This experience ignited my passion for energetic healing and sharing Spirits’ messages with others.
 

Today, I live in Brewster, New York with my wife. Over the course of my life, I’ve had the honor of being an HIV / AIDS Educator & Case Manager where I was assisted many beautiful souls with both their daily needs and end of life decisions. Then a Special Education Teacher, who specialized in trauma informed care using nature and animal therapies.  Both of these experiences have taught me to approach everyone with non-judgement, respect, dignity, and an open heart. Now I follow a path without roads, guided by a divine spirit that is in every tree, blade of grass, rain drop and wisp of wind.
